Course Details
This course is equivalent to an A Level and is taken together with two other A Level subjects. DEC is an exciting and engaging blend of creativity and technical analysis. You will be challenged to design a multi-use building for your local area and will learn about the variety of professions across the construction sector and how they interact with each other. You
will also engage with professionals in the sector, use the most relevant industry standard software, and develop the skills to evaluate and present a sustainable design project.
How is this course assessed?
50% portfolio evidence and 50% written examination.

Level 3 – (equivalent to one A Level)
What are the entry requirements?
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above.
