Course Details
This course is equivalent to an A Level and can be taken together with two other A Level subjects. This course aims to extend and develop your performance and musical skills and prepare you for a career in music. You do not need to have Music GCSE, or be able to read musical notation to join this course. However, you do need to be passionate about music,
be willing to learn, sing and perform, and develop your work to a professional level. You will research and perform pieces from different artists and genres, developing and refining your musical skills as a soloist and within an ensemble. You will also have the opportunity to perform in concerts internally and externally.
How is this course assessed?
This course will be assessed through internal assessment of class work, practical coursework and productions.

Qualification – Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate
Level 3 – (equivalent to one A Level)
